Welcome to the Dusthole  The Kings Arms, a 15th century coaching inn, a perfect place to stay on your journey from Stonehenge to Glastonbury. A crossing point between Avebury Stone Circles and Wells Cathederal . Close to Longleat Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and Clarkes Village Very near to the Royal Bath and West Showground. Known as "The Dusthole" by locals it is set in an idyllic corner of Somerset on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet a small market town 15 miles from Bath and Bristol Unchanged but modernised, we are just off the ancient Fosse Way. During the winter you can enjoy fine food and drink in front of a roaring log fire, whereas on balmy sunny summer days you might decide to go al fresco under a thatched umbrella on our patio or in the tranquility of our picturesque suntrapped gardens!  Our Sunday Carvery is known throughout Somerset produced from local ingredients, offering a wide choice of hand carved meats and freshly steamed vegetables as well as a vegetarian option. During the week try our extensive menu from traditional english to far eastern specialities The Kings Arms is all about relaxation - gentle soothing music, warm Somerset hospitality and pleasant company. Quality is our business, so wherever possible we source our produce locally, our coffees are Fair Trade and our milk is all Organic. Try our locally produced ciders made in Shepton Mallet at the famous Babycham factory. When it comes to spirits, fine malts are abundant and you can be assured that your Vodka will be Russian and ice cold!
